   Naruto
What does it mean to be alone, to never have someone by your side. Naruto never had the average life as a kid. He never had that type of motherly of father love or figure in his life and was hated by other in his community because of what he is. All he wants is to turn the hate the people have for him love and respect from the people around him. Naruto truly cares for more than he does for himself because he feels it’s his job to protect everyone and be there for anyone in need even though there’s no one to protect and be there for him. He never had a family growing up so he always thought he could build his own by finding special comrades and people that could really be there for him and feel the same way he does toward that person and see each other as equals and family.
Naruto has gone through a lot of trauma throughout his whole life than the average child should have to go through, but he still keeps on loving and appreciating life. He had so much hate stored up for all the people in his community which could have really set him on the wrong path of his life, but instead he decided to let go of that hate and pure anger and do what was best for his life. Naruto was born confused, lost, and alone, but not hopeless because he wanted to grow up the same way everyone else did, but soon began to understand that if he hadn’t gone through everything that he did he wouldn’t be as strong and more insecure because he would have that same drive that tells him to never stop and to keep going.
The life lesson within this is there are kids in this world who don’t have that type of motherly or fatherly figure in their live, but they can’t let that stop them because just like everyone else in this world you deserve to live any you deserve the chance to chase your dreams the same way that the main character did in this book did.

In this book Absolutely True Story of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie how do you think it feels to be trapped or be beaten down just for being yourself. Everyone has their ups and downs, but Arnold the main character of the book he's never really experienced the ups in life only the downs in it. Right when he thinks that everything is gonna be okay the things that he holds so dear to his heart are taken away bit by bit in the most painful way possible, but somehow he always seems to make it using art. Every evil wound that had tainted his heart in the past or present was expressed using a pencil and piece of paper. You can tell a lot based on how Arnold draws you as a person and how he really sees you as a person. For example his friend Rowdy he draw him as if he was a super hero because he's one of the best things that ever happened to him in his life and he was always that was there to protect him. Another example of how his drawings express his emotions is when Arnold draw himself he always finds a way to make himself of a person than everyone else. This shows that Arnold is depressed in some sort of way and is constantly doubting himself all because of the way other treat him as a person. This is how Arnold's drawing reveal a story of his emotions

Part-Time Indian

Have you ever heard the saying a little bit goes a long way, well even more goes an even longer way. When reading Absolutely True Story of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie it helped me open up my eye’s and feel sympathy toward the main character Arnold who’s going through a tough time in his life. Arnold is a poor Indian kid living on a broken down reservation with his loving mother, drunken father, grandma, and rat mole sister. He was constantly bullied and then eventually had enough and was suspended from school for breaking a teacher’s nose, but to be honest that was the best thing that he could have done for himself. From there his journey started and he finally met people that were willing to give him the big push that he needed. This book is a must read for struggling teenagers because it will change your life.
This story shows the reader that their not alone because there are other people in this world going through different or similar changes that are seeking the same help. Arnold is constantly fighting for everything he’s ever wanted for himself and every time it seemed like his life was good and like he could let his guard down something was always thrown in his face, and it was always something that he couldn’t stop from happening. There’s a lot of things that people can’t stop from happening which can negatively affect their lives which is why this book is so important because it  can bring something positive into somebodies life. This book is can only take you so far, but it puts you on a good track which is what leads to that big positive push in life. One really important direct quote from the book is “ It sucks to be poor, and it sucks to feel that you somehow deserve to be poor. You start believing that you're poor because you're stupid and ugly. And then you start believing that you're stupid and ugly because you're Indian. And because you're Indian you start believing you're destined to be poor. It's an ugly circle and there's nothing you can do about it.” This shows that in some point of his life that he was really doubting himself because he had already given up, but then decided to fight again, but still doubts himself in the  process.
Towards the end of the story  the main character Arnold finally realizes there are people that care about him and that he doesn't have to keep relying on himself for everything because he has people to support in life no matter what the risk because to him that was his place to return to. This was Arnold’s big push finding people who cared about him and finding a better life for him and his family. The effect that this book can have on teenagers going through a hard time right now who haven't seen the better side to life and don't think that there's any hope left for themselves, this book can be that guidance because it really has the power to change the perspective that they have on their lives and the way that they think about themselves as individuals. .

Hi, my name is Stokely Beavers A.K.A. Tyrone I live in Brooklyn and I was born June 5th, 2002. over the summer I read a lot of horrible books except for one which was It's Kind of a Funny Story, which wasn't a funny story. It was actually about an average teenager addicted to pot facing life depression and the only thing he really wanted in life was to kill himself, but over time he realizes that there's more to life and eventually finds happiness. The reason why I really enjoyed this book was because was it showed me the life struggles that other people could be going through. Another book that I enjoyed was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The reason I really liked this book was because it helped me fall asleep at night when I couldn't because it was really boring.
The main highlights of 7th grade definitely wasn't ELA it was gym because they didn't give any homework, but overall it was a good year. Another highlight from back in the days was when i dropped Justin Morales's hat in the seal aquarium. I really enjoyed my life as a 7th grade reader/poet, which is why I can't wait to see what new books or poetry I might come across as a 8th grade reader/poet. These were my main highlights of 7th grade and this is what I read over the summer.
